The horses were in good spirits as were we when we set out again early in the morning. We took in the beautiful scenery and the wonderful cool weather. In the afternoon we came across a beautiful overlook of Mt. Chimborazo. The clouds opened up just enough to give us a view of the entire mountain and it nearly took my breath away. We continued through the hills and just about the time that my butt was about to be blue and purple we arrived at our final destination the hot springs. That was the most wonderful ending to a journey like that. Soothing our muscles and conversing with the natives there was amazing. We never saw one other tourist the entire trip and that was one of the things that I loved the most. We really were experiencing a part of Ecuador that most visitors never get to see. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to take part in this trip. It truly is a unique and unexplainable adventure. If you have the opportunity you shouldn’t pass it up, it most definitely confirmed my assumption of the overwhelming beauty of Ecuador.
